Howard N. Allen, MD – Cardiology

Howard N. Allen, MD is a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology and Program Director for Cardiology Grand Rounds at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also is a clinical professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians and the Council on Clinical Cardiology of the American Heart Association.

Dr. Allen was the Director of the Cardiac Care Unit and the Cardiac Noninvasive Laboratory. He also is former Director of the Pacemaker Evaluation Center at Cedars-Sinai, having established the first such facility in the greater Los Angeles area. He is a past president of the Greater Los Angeles Affiliate of the American Heart Association, is a former commissioner on the Emergency Medical Services Commission of the county of Los Angeles and past president of the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association.

Dr. Allen has published numerous scientific peer reviewed articles, reviews, book chapters and abstracts including the first long-term follow-up study of patients with mitral valve prolapse and an early study on the role of hypovolemia as a cause of shock in acute myocardial infarction. His areas of expertise include physical diagnosis of the cardiovascular system, echocardiography and stress testing.

A recipient of numerous awards, Dr. Allen received the Heart of Gold Award from the Greater Los Angeles Affiliate of the American Heart Association in 1994, the Lou Liay Spirit Award from the University of Illinois Alumni Association in 2005, and the Cedars-Sinai Alumnus of the Year Award in 2008. He is listed in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in American Education.

After receiving his bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Allen completed his internship at the Los Angeles County General Hospital and his residency in internal medicine at the Los Angeles Veteran's Administration Medical Center. His cardiology fellowship training was completed at Cedars-Sinai and at St. George's Hospital, London, England.

Dr. Gregory F. Rosen - IVF / Reporoductive Medicine

Dr. Rosen graduated from medical school at the University of Colorado where he also received a Master's degree in Human Genetics. He then completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai/UCLA Medical Centers in Los Angeles, an OB/GYN residency at Northwestern University in Chicago and a fellowship at USC. Dr. Rosen is board certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility.

He is recognized for his expertise in the treatment and evaluation of infertility and recurrent pregnancy looses, IVF, microsurgical and laparoscopic surgical techniques and has conducted research, published and lectured throughout the nation on various aspects of IVF, endometriosis, infertility and reproductive surgery. Dr. Rosen was selected as one of the "Best Doctors in America" and L. A. Magazine also voted him one of L.A.'s top doctors. Having worked with Dr. Yee since 1987, he has co-authored a textbook on the use of ultrasound in infertile patients with Dr. Yee and Dr. Cassidenti.

Dr. Rosen, his wife, Michelle and their three children reside in Manhattan Beach where he was a founding chairman and is now a chairman emeritus of the Manhattan Wine Auction. This venue has raised more than $4 million dollars for the local public school district.
